Fifth Generation in America

Families of the Children of Gideon4 Washburn and Esther Allin
Most of the children of Gideon Washburn and Esther Allin settled originally in New Milford, Bridgewater, or Litchfield in Litchfield County, CT, and then spread out to Vermont, New York, or Ohio. The eldest daughter, Philena, and her husband moved up to Monkton in Addison County, VT, but I have not been able to identify any of her grandchildren yet. The third daughter, Lucretia, and her husband remained in New Milford, but one of her sons moved to Portage County, Ohio. The fifth daughter, Eunice, and her husband moved up to Manchester in Bennington County, VT, but once again I have not been able to identify any of her grandchildren yet. The second son, William, and his wife moved up to Middlebury in Addison County, VT, and at least two of his sons moved west to Columbus, Indiana. The two youngest daughters had a few children in New Milford, and have not yet been traced any further. This is also a work in progress, and I will add to it as new information is uncovered.
